Kohomada Lanka

Like many Sri Lankans, our founder Abdul Haleem grew up outside the island. His father left Sri Lanka for work — part of a story many families here know well. Abdul was raised in the Middle East, and Sri Lanka was where he came on holiday. Which means he discovered this country the same way you will — as a visitor first.

He fell in love with it. The food. The chaos. The beaches. The mix of temples and wildlife, all within a few hours of each other. Summers meant trips to Nuwara Eliya, visiting the Temple of the Tooth, and long drives down to the coast near Galle. At 23 years old, he chose to move back. A few years later, he fell in love with a Sri Lankan girl and is to get married soon

Kohomada Lanka is built by a team that lives here, travels here, and loves this place without romanticizing it. We’re here to show you Sri Lanka the way we experience it — honestly, flexibly, and with a lot of good food along the way. We are here to show the culture, the wildlife, the landscapes and the beaches the real way.
